Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
In response to the easing of restrictions, I am making preparations for return to our “new normal” of practice. Any healthcare professional will first and foremost live by the rule of “First, do no harm”, and in this instance, this means that I must ensure that the benefits of any treatment outweigh all conceivable risks, as well as ensuring that any such risk is minimised.
I am in the process of obtaining suitable protective equipment, creating a clear protocol which is consistent with current evidence and guidance and have completed recognised qualifications in ‘Infection Prevention and Control’ amongst others – Rest assured, any decisions made will be in the best interest of you and other patients! For now, I am continuing to offer support by phone or E-Clinic.
In the meantime, I hope you remain healthy, happy and moving. I have been keeping busy taking on additional academic roles at the University College of Osteopathy in order to keep students busy and respond to adjustments in examinations. I have also been asked to join the NHS as an allied health professional, as part of the team carrying out ‘Contact Tracing’ in the coming months, although quite different from my normal clinical role, I hope I can continue to “do my bit” through this!
As always, please feel free to contact me with any concerns you have and keep updated with me via my website and emails, where I will be updating all information regarding this situation as regularly as necessary.
